 DEFINITION

An operating system (OS) is the program that, after being initially loaded into the computer by a boot program, manages all the other programs in a computer.

FUNCTIONS

→Management of the hardware resources
→Presents the user interface 
→Administers the files
→Administers the tasks or processes
→Manages the programs
→It controls the communications for network
